Hi Cambridge! Its me again. Isahiah Melendez. I've now completely finished my project, and I couldn't properly express how relieved I am if I tried.  Since the school year started, I already knew we'd have that project or something similar. This is because of the friends I had last year that would speak about this class during their days in it. Since then, I've always wondered about how I'd do. Seeing as to how I'd never made a commercial, never thought of making a commercial, and never edited a video before. I honestly didn't think I'd know where to start and certainly not where to finish. However, when it came down to it, I honestly think I did a pretty good job for my first time. I had much help obviously, I got screen recorded tutorials on how to do certain things. Although very simple things, everything's complicated at first. I had to start somewhere and I certainly started from 0, but I think I definitely finished at at least 90. I know I coul...

Finally.. We’re nearing the end me and you. The end of this absolutely fantastic journey of a project. Although there’s now an essay stacked on this journey so i can’t say it’s all too fantastic. However! We are nearing the final result. I’ve got the images! I’ve got the the videos! I’ve got the apps! I’ve got the vision! All i need to do now is carry out my dream. My dream of becoming the star student, the star example, and the best commercial maker out of all the versions of me. I personally feel that my “tiktoker” friend helped me the most out of anyone. Despite my family providing content. I wouldn’t be able to properly put it all together without the help of experienced editors. I’ve got to get the time margins of each of the media types down. I’ve got to put the finishing touches on all of the SFX. I’ve got to perfect the VFX which i still haven’t gotten close to. I think i’m a bit behind but there’s nothing a little focus won’t help. I’m ready to be done with this and move onto ...

Guess who's back. Back again! Me. Of course. Its Isahiah Melendez again, and today... again.. I'm giving you some insight on my journey. This is the journey, the adventure, the trek, to making my magnificent commercial. A commercial, not about a product, but about me. The star. The star and main focus in a video that I get to personally edit and add my own spice onto. Learning to use CapCut is definitely the biggest hurdle. There are lots of features and capabilities. Those of which i need to consider how much im using. I cant add too much VFX as to flood the video. Doing so would cause distraction from the actual content. On the other hand, I cant put too little effects because it could over simplify the commercial. Taking into account all the shiny new gadgets coupled with CapCut. I think itll be hard for me to avoid all of the bells and whistles. I think simple transitions should do with simple SFX. For example a camera flash SFX here and there.Once again, im still a rookie ...

Hello again! Day 2 of my journey to success with this commercial. I've made a couple small steps for me, but big leaps for my project progress. In terms of content, I've gotten help from some family members providing with me with some pictures and videos from my childhood that I couldn't access on my own. Whether that be funny moments from my past or just me standing there and looking cute for the camera. Anything helps when advertising myself. When it comes to music, I've pretty much just been scanning my playlists for anything I think could be appropriate and effectively match the kind of video I'm making. I'm still thinking it'll be Billie Eilish, and I'm now leaning towards her song Hotline. As it excludes any lyrics that may be remotely depressing and ruin the mood that the "commercial" is supposed to give off. Additionally, receiving help from friends, I'm learning how to use editing apps. The most popular one used at the time is CapC...

Hey there! It's me again... Isahiah! Today is the first day that I'm going to talk about the production of my commercial. Now, first of all, I'm not going to lie. I'm still not exactly sure how what or how I'm going to do for my project. However, I have started brainstorming what song I'd like to use to represent me. As covered in my previous blog, I'm a big fan of storytelling artists such as J Cole and I really enjoy artists' music that contain creative instrumentals such as Travis Scott. While it's very easy for me to go ahead and pick my favorite song or song that I like, I can't just choose any song for this occasion. The song has to enable me to edit my content because without the proper cadence a video can prove very difficult to edit, and I'd like for things to have as little difficulty as possible. There are many artists that often produce songs that are very easy to edit over, and I do happen to like some of their music. Artists suc...

Hello, It's Isahiah Melendez again. I hope you're all doing well this splendid Sunday evening! Today I'm going to talk about what I'm deciding to represent myself with. My daily habits of sports, homework, drawing, anime binging, music listening, etc... Make up pretty much my entire year, I don't go out much, but when I do it's with a select few people with my circle being very small. I'd say Naruto Shippuden is a big highlight of my personality development as it was the first anime I've ever gotten into and fully finished. With the main character being a boy who was at first seen as an outsider slowly finding his way towards a dream he always ran towards, it was very inspirational to see. Watching someone fight so hard for people who always looked down upon him, and never letting the hate from others dictate his fun and caring personality. He always stayed strong and positive despite the challenges he faced and his positive actions always circled back t...

Hey Cambridge, it's your friendly neighborhood, Isahiah Melendez, but you can call me Zay. I'm new to the class, so ill give you some insight on my story. The story of my life. I was born January 7th, 2008 in Margate, Florida. I'm Puerto Rican, African American, and Norwegian. Mostly raised by my mother and my grandma, I grew up speaking English. I loved soccer and football growing up and it definitely carried over into my future. My upbringing was in the city of Pompano Beach and moved around to Davie around the age of 12. My academic journey started at Somerset Pines Academy where I attended for my kindergarten year, and later moved to Norcrest Elementary for 1st to 4th grade. I did my last year of elementary school at Flamingo Elementary, and stayed in the area for middle school where I attended Indian Ridge Middle School. Around this time I got into soccer and played for about 2 years until I got into highschool at Fort Lauderdale High. Where I found myself joini...
